Besides speech, occupational, physical, and ABA therapy, True Love students also engage in the following therapies from various therapy centers/programs. We are thankful for some centers providing professional in-person and online training to our volunteers and families.

Aquatic therapy can help people move more easily by reducing the effects of gravity and weight-bearing forces. Aquatic therapy can also help people with balance training, flexibility, and strengthening their core back muscles. It can also help people improve their gait, reduce pain, and relax tight muscles.

Hippotherapy: a type of physiotherapy that uses a horse’s movement to help riders achieve therapeutic goals in improving balance, coordination, rhythm, and muscle tone. The horse’s movement stimulates the rider’s sensory and motor systems, which can help improve neurological function.

Art therapy: uses creative processes and art-making to help people with mental and physical health conditions. Art can be a way to express feelings and thoughts that might be too complex to articulate through words. Common art therapy techniques include drawing, coloring, music, writing, photography, and sculpture.

Music therapy is an evidence-based practice that uses music to help people achieve therapeutic goals. For example, lyrics can be used to explore and process emotions, experiences, or memories.
