EDUCATION AND WORK HISTORY:

1994-1998 Bachelor’s Degree in the Fine Arts Department of Shandong Art College.

Majored in Print-Making.

1999-2003 Taught Journalism & Communication in the College of Arts, Qingdao

University

2003-2006 Master’s Degree in the Fine Arts Department of East China Normal University. Majored in Oil Painting.

2006-2014 Lecturer in the Fine Arts Department of Art College, Shandong University (Wei Hai location)

2008-2012 Vice Dean of the Art College, Shandong University (Wei Hai). Responsible for the international exchanges and cooperation programs and in charge of the Teaching Affair of the Fine Arts Department of Art College.

2008-2014 Studied in the Fine Arts Department of Art College, East China Normal University for Doctor’s Degree (in-service teacher. Majored in Artistic Linguistics.

2008-2015 Executive Member of the Council of Oil Painting Academy of Shandong Province.

EXHIBITIONS AND AWARDS:

In 1996, a charcoal drawing Man Nude won the first-class prize in Student’s Charcoal Drawing Competition at Shandong Art College and was permanently collected by the College.

In 1997, silkscreen Plaza of Night was selected to be exhibited on the 6th National Prints (etching, lithograph, and silkscreen) Exhibition.

In 1997, two sketch works Man Nude were selected for the 1st National Sketch Circuit Exhibition of Fine Arts Colleges.

In 2001, my papers the Fuzzy Thinking in Art Teaching, was collected in the Proceedings of the Chinese Artist, and also had won the Second Prize by the Artists Papers Editorial Committee of China.

In 2002,the Print-making work the Puppet in front of the Black Background No. 2 was selected for the 16th National Printing Works Exhibition and won the Excellence Award.

In 2004, my first solo artworks exhibition was held in the art Gallery of East China Normal University.

In 2004, oil painting No.7 was selected for the 10th National Art Exhibition·Shanghai Exhibition and the Art Exhibition for celebrating the 55’ Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai

In 2005, my second solo artworks exhibition was held in the art Gallery of East China Normal University.

In 2005,being awarded 2005 Asian Artist Fellowship Award sponsored by the Freeman Foundation for the Vermont Studio Center in the United States and later was invited to go to U.S from September to November 2005 for creation and communication. In November, a solo artworks exhibition entitled IMAGES AND ISSUES OF GLOBAL CONCERN was held at the Red Mill in Johnson Vermont.

In 2006, a comprehensive material work All Ears and Eyes was selected for First China-Korea Art Works Exchange Exhibition held in Korea and was kept as personal collections.

In 2007, oil painting Mountain View Series was selected for the Second China-Korea Art Works Exchange Exhibition held in Korea and was kept as personal collections.

In 2008, oil painting Feng Shui Series was selected for the Exhibition of Oil Painting Academy of Shandong Province and won the Silver Award.

In 2010, oil painting Feng Shui Series was selected for the Art Works Competition of Art Colleges in Shandong Province and won the Silver Award.

In 2010, my research project The Artistic Image and the Modern Social Transformation of China was listed by the Culture Department of Shandong Province as the Province’s Key Projects, the project number is 201008027.

PUBLICATIONS:

In 1997, two sketch works Man Nude were published in the Best Selection of Sketching Exercises of Fine Arts Colleges and Universities which was published by Jilin Fine Arts Publishing House in July 1997.

In 2004, oil painting No.7 was published in the 10th National Art Exhibition·Shanghai Area and the Art Exhibition for celebrating the 55’ Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai which was published on September 2004 by Shanghai Fine Arts Publishing House.

In December 2006, silkscreen the Plaza of Night was published in Literary Research which was one of the CSSCI source journals.

In December 2006,the prints work Instant & Dialogue was published in Literary Research which was one of the CSSCI source journals.

In November 2007,the watercolor work Still Life was published in Literary Research which was one of the CSSCI source journals.

In December 2007, scholarly article entitled Vague Identity of Chinese Contemporary Art was published in Literature & Art Studies which was one of the CSSCI source journals.

In 2009, the mixed media work Feng Shui-Points was published in the Chinese Contemporary Art published by the China World Fine Arts Publishing House(Hongkong).

In 2009, the mixed media work Material-Layout was published in the Chinese Contemporary Art published by the China World Fine Arts Publishing House(Hongkong).

In 2010, the mixed media work Small Triple of Layout No.12 was published in the Chinese Contemporary Art published by the China World Fine Arts Publishing House(Hongkong).

In 2010, the mixed media work The Two- Joint of Layout No.7 was published in the Chinese Contemporary Art published by the China World Fine Arts Publishing House(Hongkong).

In 2010, the mixed media work Feng Shui-Looking for Dragon Vein was published in the Exhibition of Oil Painting Academy of Shandong Province published by the Shandong Fine Arts Publishing House.

In 2011, the mixed media work Cranes-Variable was published in the Professors Recommended Outstanding Graduates Works Collection and the Western Development Report.
